Dr Evan Brody is the Founder and President of West Cobb Foot and Ankle Center. He is a practicing physician and surgeon and sees patients in his Acworth/Kennesaw office. He is on Staff at several hospitals and Surgery Centers in the greater Atlanta area. Dr. Brody is a member of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is certified with the State of Georgia in Podiatric Medicine and is Board Certified in Foot Surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Brody was born in Washington D.C. and moved with his family to South Florida where he lived until he graduated from High School. In 1991 he moved to Georgia and was accepted to the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Applied Biology in 1996. He then attended Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences for Podiatric Medicine and Surgery obtaining his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2000. While there he was elected class president for three years and received the Dean’s Leadership Award.
After receiving his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Brody did a three year residency program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Atlanta from 2000 to 2003. There he produced training videos and developed surgical techniques for the 5th Ray and transmetatarsal amputation. He was elected the Chief Resident of the Atlanta, Veterans Administration Medical Center Residency Program in 2002.
Dr Brody treats patients of all ages and is an expert in the treatment of diabetic wound care and foot and ankle injuries. He is a surgical instructor at ACFAS and is in private surgical practice in metro Atlanta. While Dr. Brody is highly trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, he uses surgery as the last resort, always first exhausting every effort to correct the problem with conservative treatment.
